Keep gambling optional
Use only disposable entertainment money, expect that it may be lost, and never borrow to gamble. Take regular breaks and avoid play when upset, intoxicated, or trying to solve financial pressure.
Use blocking tools
Deposit limits, time reminders, cooling-off periods, self-exclusion, payment blocks, and device-level blocking tools can add friction when willpower is strained. Ask each platform what controls it offers.
Ask for help early
If gambling is causing financial, emotional, or relationship harm, stop access to funds and accounts and speak with a qualified local health professional or support organization. In an immediate crisis, contact local emergency services.
